C. A. MATERIALS

1. Upper materials and other relevant components shall be tested to verify suitability for use in durably waterproof and breathable footwear.

2. Recommended minimum material MVTR tested according to DIN 53333 [mg/cm²/h] or equivalent.

3. Only hydrophobic materials shall be used. Wicking rates of leathers, textiles, reinforcing material, reticulated foams, insulation, sewing threads (for uppers), shoelaces, and other components shall not exceed 1cm after 2 hours.
